150 Watt 12 Volt Solar Panel12 volt solar panels are used for charging batteries in RV's, Vans, Campers, Boats and Off Grid Applications. For example a 150 watt 12 volt solar panel is great for RV's 30' and shorter with average use. Average use is commonly referred to as using 4 hours of LED lights, small fridge, an hour or two of TV or radio and some exhaust fan usage. If you are using a large fridge or running TV's, computers or other larger devices for long periods of time (5+ hrs) you will need to consider a larger solar system.
This 150 watt solar panel is made with high efficiency polycrystalline solar cells. Polycrystalline is great for low light and direct light conditions. Solar panels are basically maintenance free, simply spray off or wash with soap and water on occasion if in areas with high debris. A strong frame allows this panel to be mounted in many different conditions including mobile applications. Check out the mounting feet here - Large Mounting Feet
Poly Vs MonoThe only real difference between polycrystalline and monocrystalline solar is the size of the panel. A 150 watt poly panel will have a slightly larger footprint as compared to a mono panel.
A 150 watt poly panel produces 150 watts, 150 watt mono panel produces 150 watts. 150 watts is 150 watts. The amperage produced will also be very close. Polycrystalline also does better in low light and cloudy situations. Keep this in mind if you frequent areas that might have various weather patterns.
